In this clip Abass speaks about the provision of humanitarian services to the local Lebanese population, such as delivering water to houses. Abass describes the difficulties with the supply of water because water was sourced [from Wadi Saluki] in the Israeli controlled area. He says that the supply to villages in South Lebanon was often interrupted by shepherds in the Israeli controlled area who might burst the pipes to water their flocks. Abass wrote an article 'Lebanon and the Lebanese' which was published in 'An Cosantoir' in October 1991 which refers further to this issue.
