In this clip Nada discusses her family’s experience of the 2006 Lebanon War. She describes her father telling her that war had started and she recalls daily explosions starting. She describes three families staying in one house, with people in Tibnin sending them bread and cheese to eat. They stayed twelve days in Tibnin but her father decided to leave after an incident nearby at Bayt Yahun where a man and his two daughters were killed while travelling on a motorbike. She describes trying to leave for Beirut at five or six o’clock in the evening but the road was bombed so they returned to Tibnin. They left the following morning. They had nowhere to stay in Beirut so the three families shared in a room in a school for approximately eighteen days. Nada describes the help that people in Beirut gave them, providing boxes of food and water.
