Noel speaks about getting seven days leave during his service with 43 Infantry Battalion. He recalls that he went on a four day tour to the Holy Land with three days rest and relaxation at Netanya, a resort north of Tel Aviv in Israel. He speaks about doing guided tours and seeing Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazereth, the Dead Sea and Jericho. He refers to being an eighteen year old from the north side of Dublin, able to tell his father, a staunch Catholic, about standing in the Garden of Gethsemane and similar places of religious importance.
