In this clip Michael speaks about his father's career and his own career. He reflects on the fact that his father's overseas service was comprised of a trip to the Congo and a trip to Cyprus. He recalls that his father always advised him to volunteer and as a result he is now reaching a combined total of twelve years of service overseas. He attributes this to changes in the Defence Forces and increased overseas commitments.
